Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

These Terms of Service constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Compoundr governing your use of the Compoundr iOS application. By using the App, you represent that you are at least 17 years of age and legally capable of entering into this agreement.

2. Not Medical Advice

COMPOUNDR IS A PERSONAL RESEARCH TRACKING TOOL. NOTHING IN THIS APP CONSTITUTES MEDICAL ADVICE, DIAGNOSIS, OR TREATMENT.

• All compounds in the App are research compounds, not FDA-approved for human use unless explicitly noted.
• Compoundr does not recommend, prescribe, or endorse the use of any compound.
• Research Assist provides general educational information only. It is not medical advice.
• Consult a licensed healthcare professional before beginning, changing, or stopping any protocol.
• You use this App entirely at your own risk.

3. External Features and Consent

Compoundr's default state is fully local. Two optional features involve external data transmission, each of which requires your explicit in-app consent before activation:

• iCloud Backup — syncs your data to your personal iCloud account (Apple's Privacy Policy applies)
• Research Assist — sends your typed queries to Anthropic's API (Anthropic's Privacy Policy applies)

By activating either feature after reviewing the in-app consent notice, you acknowledge that data associated with that feature will be transmitted to the applicable third-party service. You may revoke consent and disable either feature at any time in app settings.

4. Eligibility

The App is rated 17+. By using Compoundr, you confirm you are at least 17 years of age.

5. License

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App on your personal iOS device(s) for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not copy, modify, distribute, reverse engineer, decompile, or use the App commercially.

6. Subscriptions and Payments

Subscription billing is handled exclusively by Apple. Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before renewal. Manage or cancel subscriptions through your Apple ID account settings. We do not offer refunds except as required by law or Apple's refund policies.

7. Intellectual Property

All content, design, graphics, and code in the App are owned by Compoundr and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. These Terms grant no right to use our name, logo, or branding.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, COMPOUNDR WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Compoundr from any claims, liabilities, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the App or violation of these Terms.

11. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be noted by updating the "Last updated" date above.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware. Disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Delaware.
